Showbizzle's Digital Showcase Contest (Vol. 1)
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
1. HOW TO ENTER: This contest begins December 4, 2008 and ends February 28, 2009. To enter online, go to showbizzle.com and follow instructions on how to upload your original video to the showbizzle website. Only members of the showbizzle community will be eligible to submit user generated videos...Limit one user-generated video per person. All user-generated videos become property of showbizzle.com. By entering, Entrant warrants that the entry (1) is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, (2) has not been published in any medium or (3) has not won an award and (4). Entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification. Showbizzle reserves the right to remove and not post a user-generated video if it violates community standards as determined by the showbizzle webmaster in his/her sole discretion.
2. JUDGING: Winners will be selected by an independent panel of three industry professionals who will view the videos without knowing the identity or background of the players. The creators and management of showbizzle will not be consulted on the winning selections. We guarantee two winners -- and hold open the possibly that two additional ‘runners-up’ will also win prizes and/or be acknowledged at the discretion of showbizzle.com Decisions of judges are final and binding. Winners will be notified by FILL IN THE BLANKS.
3. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all members of showbizzle.com.
4. PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: Winners will receive opportunity to erform original material on showbizzle in '09, and if they do perfom will be paid $250. Winners will be paid upon completion of production. Showbizzle will pay up to an additional $500 per winner for transportation and lodging as part of the promotion paid directly to vendors/promotional partners. Winners will be expected to be available in Los Angeles for production over a three day span between February 28th -- July 1st, 2009. Exact dates to be determined. If a winner cannot be available to perform, then showbizzle reserves the right to offer the prize to a different submission.
5. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: By entering, Entrant represents that any user-generated video and other materials submitted as part of Entrant's Contest entry are original and will not constitute defamation or an invasion of privacy or otherwise infringe upon the rights of any third party, and that the Entrant owns or has the right to convey any and all rights and title in such video and other materials. In addition, by entering, Entrant grants to Sponsor a pertpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license in perpetuity to edit, post, promote and otherwise use Entrant's submitted video, along with Entrant's name, likeness, biographical information, and any other information provided by Entrant, in any and all media now known or hereafter invented for possible editorial, promotional or advertising purposes, without further permission, notice or compensation. Potential Winner, as well as Potential Winner's traveling companion, as a condition of receiving any prize, also may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and where legally permissible a Publicity Release and confirmation of a license as set forth above at the completion of production. Videos produced for the showbizzle channel by showbizzle with the contest winners (either based on the submitted character, or an original character created by showbizzle in conjunction with a contest winner) shall be the exclusive property of Showbizzle.com.
